At T English Opticians Limited we are meticulous in our approach to eye care and allow a generous length of time for your eye examination. Equipped with the latest technology including an OCT scanner, great care is taken in providing a thorough check on the health and status of your eyes.

If an optical correction is necessary we will discuss your individual visual needs to ensure that the prescription satisfies your requirements. If it’s spectacles, contact lenses or both our friendly team can advise you.

We pride ourselves on giving a personal service to our clients. We are a family run business, we see many clients again and again at their next scheduled eye test. This allows us to build up an excellent client relationship. This doesn’t happen now in the large chains due to a high turnover of staff and no continuity of care.

Age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and vitreous detachments are examples of conditions that can be detected with the OCT.

Quick, painless and non-invasive, it uses light waves to take a cross section of the back of the eye.

I rang up and they managed to get my son in the next day. The staff were helpful and friendly explaining everything thoroughly and putting my son at ease. Although I didn't purchase my current glasses from here, they managed to fit me in on the same day I rang and sort out the issues with my uncomfortable wonky frames (terrible adjustments from a different opticians) I will still need to buy new glasses as they can only be adjusted so far (again, the fault of my previous opticians) I will definitely be buying them from here.

Always very helpfull and explain things extremely well . They always explain any options you may have . I also have a son with additional needs including autism and sensory issues . Excellent service.I was lucky enough to have these take me on after an infection and a visit to Gp and a few attendances to eye casualty. I was invited to be seen, given a thorough examination, confirmed and allergic reaction , new ointment given, review 3 days later, the optician telephone referred me there and then to the hospital ophthalmology department where I was seen the next day.. A membrane was removed from my eye and again a few days later, I’m almost back to normal ( have an appt tomorrow) I seriously don’t know what would have happened if they had not took over my care x Outstanding, caring service!
